I just wanted to take the time to tell you all about a very special woman of God that I met today. Her name is Armina D. Swittenburg and she is the Interim Pastor at God's Favor Community Church where Bishop Steven W. Clay is the Presiding Bishop. I have known Bishop Clay for many years and he has always been a blessing to me, but this was the first time that I met Armina Swittenburg. I can tell you that the Lord truly shown through her and I felt an immediate bond with her. After speaking with her, her mother, and her sister I just had to write this blog to share the blessing with you.
In addition to being the Interim Pastor at God's Favor, Armina is also the Editor-in-Chief of Church World News. I read through the magazine and was truly blessed. That magazine just magnifies my vision of churches working together to rise up and reach others. As you know from some of my previous writings, I think we are living in a very apathetic society. We as Christians aren't doing the jobs that God has called us to do. We have a sort of "let someone else do it" mentality.
Pastor Swittenburg is using this magazine as a way to reach others by coming together, as their headline says, as "One Church....Many Voices". I urge you to go to their website and check it out. Subscriptions are only $18.95 for six months, which is less than half off the cover price of only $6.95 per issue. I'm not trying to sell you anything. I am simply trying to bless you. You don't have to order the magazine, but please, I urge you to go to their website and take a look and please keep this magazine and this ministry in your prayers. I feel with all my heart that God is going to use this ministry for some mighty things. And I want you to be part of the blessings that will come out of it.
